What We Offer
Pre-Production
​As filmmakers we know what it takes to get a production off the road. Africa Underwater is a registered Filming Agent with the Kenya Film Commission and can sort out all filming permits including those form the Kenya Wildlife Service to film in National Parks. With our experience along the Kenyan coast we are well equipped to scout locations and organise filming logistics.
Production
We have grown up in the ocean, it is our second home and we have spent years honing our skills to be able to capture unique, captivating footage while also respecting the environment and animals we interact with. We have filmed while free diving, scuba diving, topside on boats and everything in-between for various clients including the BBC NHU and we have had our productions supported by the National Geographic Society amongst others.
Post-Production
From editing short form to feature length documentaries, educational films and supporting materials to social media content and campaigns. We are well equipped to deliver award winning and impactful content for a variety of clients. We can also narrate, as well as produce original film scores and sound effects to bring that extra impact to your productions.
UNDER WATER KIT
RED V-Raptor Rhino & Nauticam Housing
On special request we can arrange a RED V-Raptor Rhino in a Nauticam Housing. To capture cinematic underwater footage in 8K and up to 120fps.
Canon R5C & Nauticam Housing
Canon R5C equipped with 24-70mm or 16-35mm lenses are also available on special request. Also housed in a Nauticam and including a battery bank.
Panasonic G9 & Nauticam Housing
We love using this UW Rig as they are small, light weight and ideally for free diving with. Most of our films are made free diving especially when working with marine mammals.
Panasonic GH5 & Nauticam Housing
Our housings come with an N85 7" Acrylic Wide-Angle Dome Port and we have a selection of lenses for these Panasonic UW rigs:

Sofar's Trident ROV
This is an observational-class ROV that can provide high resolution video underwater. Our underwater drone comes with an 100m tether.
SQ26-08 Hydrophone
We use this Cetacaen Research Technology hydrophone to capture underwater soundscapes to build the score of our documentaries
